Who Is Mathias
The grandson of NBA Hall Of Fame legend and two-time NCAA All American, David “Big Daddy” Lattin, Mathias Lattin chose to bring his talent to the stage and not the basketball court. Mathias Lattin is an up-and-coming young Texas guitarist and a product of the acclaimed Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts. He’s heavily influenced by music legends B.B. King, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Albert Collins, and Wes Montgomery. Mathias’s vast love for music is reflected in the soulful blues, jazz-inflected chords, and funky bass lines. Trained as a jazz guitarist, he incorporates the knowledge in his playing and songwriting. At only 19 years old, he has shared the stage with the likes of Keeshea Pratt, Annika Chambers, Sarah Grace, and The Peterson Brothers. The Living Blues Magazine's review of his debut EP “Let’s Start Here” determined “…there’s enough promise here to mark him as an artist to watch.” As he paves his way in the Blues, Mathias is on his way to creating his own legacy through his music.
